Trauma Therapy
I specialise in working with trauma, PTSD, C-PTSD and attachment difficulties. Many of the clients I work with come to therapy because they are struggling with heightened anxiety, feeling overwhelmed, managing triggers or noticing patterns in their thoughts, emotions and relationships that they would like to understand better.
This may be linked to a single traumatic event, childhood experiences, difficult relationships or experiences that have built up over time. Whatever the cause, trauma can continue to affect the way we think, feel and respond long after the event itself has passed.
My work is informed by specialist training and experience in trauma therapy. Depending on your needs, I may draw on a range of trauma-focused approaches, including exposure-based work, somatic awareness, attachment-informed approaches and psychoeducation. Together, we explore how trauma may be affecting your emotional responses, relationships and day-to-day life.
There is no pressure to talk about anything before you feel ready. We work at a pace that feels manageable, helping you better understand your responses and feel less controlled by the impact of past experiences.
