About Me

Hi, I'm Kerry.

I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor, Trauma Therapist and Clinical Supervisor with over 15 years' experience.

Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed or struggling with experiences that continue to affect their lives long after they have happened. They may be living with the impact of trauma, anxiety, low self-worth, relationship difficulties or patterns they do not fully understand.

Therapy offers an opportunity to make sense of these experiences, better understand yourself and develop healthier ways of coping.

My Approach

My approach is trauma-focused, collaborative and tailored to your individual needs.

Together, we will explore the experiences that have shaped you, the coping strategies you have developed and the ways these may still be affecting you today. Where helpful, I may incorporate psychoeducation, grounding techniques and trauma-focused approaches to support your understanding throughout the process.

There is no pressure to share more than feels comfortable. We work at a pace that feels manageable, allowing space to build understanding, confidence and self-awareness over time.

Experience & Professional Background

My experience spans community services, education settings, mental health services and private practice. Alongside my therapy work, I am a Clinical Supervisor and work as a Certificate of Proficiency (CoP) Validator, Moderator and Case Study Assessor. I have also previously worked as a CPCAB Lecturer, supporting the training and development of future counsellors.

I also have experience supporting clients working in high-pressure and frontline professions. These varied roles have given me a broad understanding of the different ways trauma, stress and life experiences can affect people throughout their lives.
